BACK ACHE, THE MOST WIDESPREAD AMONG RHEUMATIC PAINS
In this page I would like to just briefly mention the method of fasting, which was used by famous doctors of the past – first among whom was Hippocrates – to cure all types of rheumatic pains (rheumatism), whether it was in the back (lumbago), or hips, in the knees, cervical zone, in the shoulders, elbows or in the hands and feet. Of all these rheumatic pains, today the most widespread are surely back ache and cervical pain, as to be considered some of the first causes of sick leaves on the job.
FASTING – THE IDEAL CURE FOR BACK ACHE
Fasts were also practiced and recommended by the founders of the great religions, such as Moses, Jesus Christ, Mohammed and Buddha, as a method to improve not only physical but also spiritual health. In the past people practiced long fasts, of up to 40 days, but our forefathers had robust physiques which we no longer have today, so we have to make do with shorter fasts.
I would advise short fasts – let’s say not more than three days – as an attack therapy for all types of rheumatic pains. During the fast, you must abstain from all the foods and beverages that contain calories. Mountain spring waters, infused herb teas and vegetable broths that contain mineral salts are allowed, but not more than a litre and a half daily, so as not to stress the heart and kidneys. In the case of highly chronic rheumatic pains, to be able to obtain a considerable outcome I would recommend a fast of two days for at least five or six times, at a distance of not less than two weeks from one another, so as not to get too weak. In the case of rather recent back pain or cervical pain one may note improvements already after the second fast, but in other more consistent cases you may need more patience and constancy. The most suitable days to fast are almost always Saturdays and Sundays. In those days you need to rest the body and the spirit, but certainly also do some light physical or intellectual jobs. Furthermore, it would be good to take two small walks daily outdoors.
On the first day after the fast, it would be better to eat little, and besides, you will note that you have less appetite than expected. Your appetite usually returns on the second and more so, on the third day, so it is then that you may eat normally, letting yourself be guided by instinct. Whatever doubts that arise regarding the fasting method and the succeeding diet, do email me, describing the history of your disorder and I will try to give you an answer – of course without any obligation on your part – that could be suitable to your case. A highly recommended cure to resolve various types of rheumatic pains is the Mayr Therapy, that always starts with a brief fast. The Mayr Therapy is a valued educational and preventive strategy since it induces the patient to set a correct lifetime diet so as to prevent in the best way the relapse of back ache and rheumatic pains.
REMEMBER: LEARN TO FAST NOW AND IN THE CORRECT WAY, TO LIVE LONGER AND BETTER!
