FIRST TIP FOR HYPERGLYCEMIA: LESS CARBOHYDRATES!
The diet I would suggest for hyperglycemia and type 2 diabetes (diabetes in adults) is similar to what I advised for overweight problems, but it is all valid even if you are normal, or underweight. I will summarize all the essential features, adapting them suitably to the case of hyperglycemia and diabetes in adults.
My first advice is rather obvious: given that “hyperglycemia” means “excess of sugar in the blood,” and glucose is the final product of the metabolism of carbohydrates, it is indispensable to slightly reduce consumption of carbohydrates in your daily diet. Unfortunately this is not at all easy to do, since one starts to suffer pangs of hunger. To resolve this problem, the only method I know is to do a Mayr Therapy, which – in powerfully boosting the metabolism – helps to totally burn up the intake of carbohydrates, and thus give the cells a sufficient supply of energy. Furthermore, the Mayr Therapy improves intestinal assimilation, and so you do not lose too much weight if you were already thin before the therapy.
SECOND TIP: HAVE A LIGHT DINNER!
Another advice while waiting to start the Mayr Therapy is: remember that it is not breakfast that makes your sugar levels rise, but dinner! What you eat at breakfast is totally assimilated by the metabolism during the day, while a part of what you eat at dinner accumulates in the night under the form of glucose and also toxins. So the real secret in reducing hyperglycemia – though keeping healthy and not losing too much weight is easily said – get into the habit of having a hearty breakfast and eating a bit less at dinner. Besides, the two things are strictly linked, since those who skip breakfast totally certainly will not have enough resistance only with lunch and a small dinner, and will be forced to have a heavy dinner. I must add that during the day, it is not advisable to have snacks between meals, since they would disturb the digestion of the main meals and increase the sugar levels: three meals a day are more than enough for anyone. If you have doubts send me an e-mail and I will write you. Good luck for your sugar levels!
