CELLULITE AND SWELLING
The suggestions I would like to give you for problems regarding cellulite or cellulitis, skin dimpling, and ugly cushions of subcutaneous tissue are very much like those I gave to those who are overweight, but are also valid if you have normal weight, or are even underweight. In fact, this has to do with a detox diet which is not necessarily one that makes you lose weight, since I advice you on what to eat for the three daily meals, leaving you free to decide on the amount of food.
TWO TIPS TO REDUCE CELLULITE
My first dietary advice to those suffering from cellulite is this: remember that what you eat at breakfast is totally burned up during the day, while a part of what you eat at dinner accumulates in the subcutaneous tissues under the form of water retention. So the real secret to reducing the degeneration of the subcutaneous tissues is easily said: make it a habit to have a hearty breakfast and eat a bit less at dinner. Furthermore, the two things are closely related since a person who skips breakfast totally will certainly not be able to last only with lunch and a small dinner, and will be forced to have an abundant dinner.
The second dietary advice for cellulite is this: remember that it is not the fats that cause the bloating of tissues, but the carbohydrates!
A SAMPLE MENU TO REDUCE SWELLING AND CELLULITE
So here is a sample menu based on the two precious suggestions I mentioned earlier. You may adopt it without having to do bothersome estimates with percentages of carbohydrates and fats, and the use of scales to weigh your food.
At breakfast, eat all you wish, and in the amounts you wish, with a sole exception: no foods containing added sugar, that is, saccharose (read the ingredients on the pack), that would overly increase the carbohydrates. Remember that crisp breads and fruit yoghurt almost always contain it, along with many other packed foods we usually buy. Let me repeat: if in the “ingredients” you see “sugar” or “saccharose,” do not eat that food! Instead, honey is always allowed, since , it is easily metabolized in moderate amounts.
At lunch do not eat the first course (pasta, rice or corn meal porridge), and not even a dessert that contains sugar, always in order to limit the carbohydrates. Satiate yourself with an abundant serving of meat, fish or cheese, with a side plate of potatoes, vegetables or salad, seasoned with extra virgin olive oil, more than 30 to 50 g of bread and baked products. To end, if you still have the appetite, eat a juicy or oily fruit.
At dinnertime adopt almost the same lunch scheme, but with two important differences: the quantities must be exactly half of what you ate at lunch. Moreover, do not eat raw fruit or salad, which are hard to digest in the evening. Of course you shouldn’t have any snacks in between during the day: three meals a day are more than enough for anyone.
